The Randolph Dream Project, Inc. (RDP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to help young scholars in need of financial assistance to further their education as they transition into college life. The principal focus of RDP is its Scholarship & Mentoring program, through which it provides mentors and makes grants available for undergraduate study at accredited colleges or universities. A one-time scholarship may only be applied to study at an accredited institution based in the United States. RDP seeks Randolph High School seniors who are committed to academic excellence, leadership and mentoring, and whose experiences have been enriched by the diversity of the town of Randolph.

Why Randolph?

Randolph provides priceless but oft overlooked resources. Randolph is the most racially diverse town in Massachusetts, and the second most diverse municipality behind only the City of Boston. Randolph High School is a community where cultures from around the world intersect, providing the students with formative cross-cultural experiences. Its students – many of whom do not have the financial resources to travel the world – have the world at their fingers. They grow together, develop friendships, and cross lines that too often divide. Many languages and cultures come to feel like home.

Why the Randolph Dream Project?

Many Randolph alumni feel strongly that Randolph’s diversity enriched our lives and careers. We believe deeply that young people from this community can blossom into the leaders that a diverse America and global economy desperately need.

This project came to life when a group of Randolph alumni came together determined to give back to the town that gave so much to us. We recognize the importance of investing time and resources into supporting young leaders who are not only committed to academic excellence, leadership and service, but whose experiences have been deeply enriched by the diversity of Randolph. The scholarship application challenges its applicants to grapple with the meanings of diversity, how it has shaped them, and how they can leverage those experiences to become leaders in their chosen fields.

Engaged alumni have found success in a variety of fields and achieved higher levels of education, often as the first in their family to do so. Our mentors include educators, musicians, non-profit leaders, architects, and more. We plan to match scholars with mentors who have followed educational and career paths of interest to the scholars. Mentors enhance these students’ ability to succeed in undergraduate studies, plot a career path, and pursue graduate studies. We believe setting The Randolph Dream Project, Inc. scholars on a path to leadership in their chosen fields will benefit the world as much as the student and community.
